Increasing the character limit on matching/sorting questions
Hello,
I am building many courses in Rise, and throughout the modules, we have a check your knowledge. I like to use the sorting/matching question types, but the limited character limit makes it hard to be able to use this feature.
Is there a possibility to increase the character limit to be able to use more descriptive terminology to match with statements?
Cheers,
Megan
Hello everyone, 🎉
I'm happy to let you know we released a new update for Rise 360! This update adds the following feature:
- Eliminated character limits for matching knowledge check block entries
There's nothing to install for web apps. New features and fixes are immediately available, though you might need to publish your Rise 360 course again.
Let me know if you have any questions about this update.

Hi ALL,
This will be beneficial for localization projects as well.
In one of my recent Rise projects, importing XLIFF translated file (from English-French) worked fine at the first instance (Drag-n-Drop interaction), even it accepted an increased character limit. The moment we make any update to the XLIFF and imported it once again, it throws an error. The character limit comes into play.
Every time we cannot go back to our translator asking to concise, while some languages are a bit wordy ("feel more comfortable going on at length"). Hi Galina, Wanzhu, and Belinda!
Thanks for checking in on this discussion. I've added your votes to the feature request.

+1 for increasing the character limit. 90 is too little. Not infinite but at least 120 characters are recommended.
Hello Renuka,
We've also added your voice to the feature report. Thanks for the additional data you shared!
