"Instructions" for participating in eLearning Heroes Challenges?

Hi All!

I am planning to start an ELH Challenge co-working group with a few folks alongside whom I've been learning Storyline and All of The Things ID. Is there a general page for the challenges that explains the process--when they are posted, the deadline for entries, and how to submit entries? And if we want to submit one after the deadline, is the process the same? We have been studying and creating various interactions each week for a few months, and are ready to start applying them in creative contexts!

Thanks,

Katie Gibbs

  • Hello Katie!

The weekly e-learning challenges are ongoing opportunities to learn, share, and build your e-learning portfolios. You can jump into any or all of the previous challenges anytime you want.

When you're ready to share your course, here's our suggested ways to share:

    • Comments: Use the comments section in the E-Learning Challenge posts to share a link to your published example and blog post.
    • Forums: Start your own thread and share a link to your published example.
    • Personal blog:  If you have a blog, please consider writing about your challenges. We’ll link back to your posts, so the great work you’re sharing gets even more exposure.
    • Social Media: If you share your demos on Twitter or LinkedIn, try using #ELHChallenge so your tweeps can track your e-learning coolness.

Please let me know if you have additional questions! I'm excited to see what you and your team submit!

  • When you post in previous challenges, David typically will update the recaps with updated challenges.

The closer you post to a challenge release date, the more apt you are to get feedback from people. So if you're looking for feedback, after posting in the challenge thread, I'd also create a separate post and ask for feedback.

  • Welcome to the challenges. One thing about submitting. If you're looking for feedback, please include the ask when you post. A lot of demos shared are intentionally incomplete or more experimental. For that reason, you won't see folks critiquing or offering technical feedback unless specifically requested.

Looking forward to seeing you in the challenges!

  • Thanks, Articulate Team! Is there a specific day/time by which they are posted each week? Thursdays? Fridays? I was hoping to do a kickoff meeting each Friday around 2 PM Pacific Time. Knowing the time they are released will help us schedule and get going.

    Thank you!

    Katie
