Interactive Drag and Drop with Shaking Objects
Hi everyone,
I'm looking for some guidance regarding this interactive, drag and drop Storyline module. The context is that users will go through a virtual empathy experience where they step into the shoes of someone with tremors. The goal is for them to put Sunday's pill into the Sunday spot in the pill organizer (the circle white and yellow non-gel pills) and the remaining pills into the wooden bowl. The pills appear to be "shaking" via motion paths. The pills stop shaking after the user hovers over the pill's hotspot, which should happen so that the user can grab the pill and drop it into the organizer or bowl. However, I want the pill to go back to "shaking" after the user hovers outside of the pill, but it doesn't. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to do this?
Thank you!

Hi Taylor,
If I'm reading your triggers correctly, it looks like the reason that your motion paths stop is because once the learner hovers over each pill ShakeA is set to False which ends the motion path loop.
Have you considered using a gif to create the shaking effect rather than motion paths? Having the normal state be a gif while the hover/drag/drop states are static would let you cut down on some of these complex triggers while still creating a similar effect.- TaylorKnapp-ee3Community Member
Hi Catherine,
Thank you so much for the idea- never even thought of that! I attempted to turn each of the pills into an animated GIF, however, I am unable to remove the background from the GIFs using Vyond or Microsoft PowerPoint.

Hmm I didn't think about that. I typically use Adobe (photoshop + premiere) to create transparent gifs. I haven't used it in quite a while now, but I have friends who have used the free software FireAlpaca to create gifs before. I wonder if that could be a workaround?
