Invalid answer pop up customize
Hello !
I've looked everywhere in this forum and saw a lot a people that are having the same issue but the answer is not clear for me...
I want to change this pop up :
I've followed this tutorial https://articulate.com/fr-FR/support/article/how-to-modify-invalid-answer-feedback-in-storyline and this one : https://articulate.com/fr-FR/support/article/how-to-create-a-custom-invalid-answer-message
Either way, my new layer "invalid answer" appears correctly, but the old one too...
So I want to get rid of the old invalid answer. Can you explain me how please ? :-)
You can find an example of this slide in PJ (.story)
Thanks !

Hello, Auriene,
I assume that you created a new layer as well for the invalid answer message. Although you can modify the text on the original invalid answer pop-up, you won't be able to remove it completely. As a workaround, you can add a trigger on the submit button to only submit the interaction if there is an answer selected. All in all, it would look like this:
I have also created a simple .story file which you can download below as an example.
Another option that you have is to only allow all the questions to be submitted at the same time at the end of the quiz. This way, the invalid prompt won't appear as well. You can learn more about this option here.
I hope this helps. Feel free to let me know if you have further questions.

Hello !
Thanks a lot for your answer. It works very well, it's just time consuming, but that will do :=D

Hi I found this old thread and created an invalid layer but the original still appears when there is an invalid answer, how do you remove this please?
Hello Claire!
As my teammate Jaycee mentioned, you can modify the text on the original invalid answer pop-up, but you won't be able to remove it completely.
If the layer you created isn't showing up, do you mind sharing the .story file so we can take a look. You can share it in this discussion or privately in a support case.

I followed the steps and the new Invalid Message is showing up correctly for my Text Entry slide. My problem is that it shows the "Try Again" message first, then it shows the "Invalid" message. That's too many messages based on one interaction. I've arranged the triggers so that the "Show invalid layer" trigger is before the "Submit interaction" trigger. Not sure if it matters, but I also tried sorting the order of the layers as well. How can I prevent the Try Again message from showing up before the Invalid message?
