Yes!! . Click on the design menu at the top. Once the toolbar is displayed, click on 'Story Size' on the far left.

Thanks, Natalie. But maybe I should rephrase my question. I'm looking for a way to change the default story size permanently so I can avoid taking the steps you describe. When I click the Story Size button on the ribbon in a new project, the same dimensions appear every time: 720 x 540. I'm looking for a way to change the dimensions for every new story I create to 1366 x 768.
Is there a way to permanently modify the default dimensions of the story for a new project?
Hi Jacqueline,
There isn't a way to change the default - so if you'lll be importing in slides or a .story file with a different size, you'll want to adjust the story size before getting started.
Hello everyone!
Great news! We just released another update for Articulate 360 and included a few new features, enhancements, and fixes you'll see in the release notes.
The item you'll be interested in is:New: Create courses faster by changing the default slide dimensions for new projects.
Just launch the Articulate 360 desktop app on your computer and click the Update button for Storyline 360. You can find all of the details here.

Hi all!
This discussion is a while ago but the topic is exactly my point.
I have already created a story template with another default story size, but everytime I am choosing this one the usual 4:3 size in Articulate Storyline 2 still remains. So I always have to change the story size manually before I start my new project.
Did it work for you to change the story size only in the template file, Bruce?
Thanks a lot!

I created an entire course in 4:3, 720x540 default size, but now the learners are viewing it on laptop screens that need the 720x405 size. When I change the Story Size to 720x405 and unlocked aspect ratio, all of my slides are no longer centered. Where is the option to center all of the slides when changing the story size? Desperately need help! TY!
Hi Kiana,
When you change your story size, if you decrease the story size, you'll have to choose one of the options in the section that appears called If new size is smaller:
- Scale To Fit: This scales existing slide content to fit proportionately within the new size. Objects that have locked aspect ratios will maintain their ratios. Objects that don't have locked aspect ratios may change shape, depending on the story size you choose. (Learn more about locking aspect ratios.)
- Crop: This crops your content to fit within the new size. If you choose this option, the Next button will become active. Click Next to define the crop area for each slide in your project. Drag the green box to indicate the portion of each slide you want to keep. Click Apply to All Slides, or use the green arrows to edit each slide individually.
It's best to change the story size before you add any slides. Otherwise, you may need to resize or rearrange objects in your story to accommodate its new size.

Thanks for your response Ashley! So one of the screens being viewed by users is a Mac laptop and another is a Chrome laptop. The Chrome one indicated its best resolution is 1366x768, but to Custom resize it in Storyline means unlocking the Lock Aspect ratio. What will that do to all of my images?
Hi Kiana! It's hard to predict exactly what would happen, but you might see some objects on your slide become misaligned or moved depending on how great the deviation is from your original size settings. The short version: It might make a little more work for you in terms of realigning everything on your slide to look it's best in the new dimensions.
