Is Numeric question accessible or fall under the accessibility guidelines?
Hello Folks,
I'm working for Microsoft where accessibility is key when it comes to creating assessments in storyline. Just wanted to check if "Numeric questions or questions that makes the learner type in any kind text or numbers" falls under accessibility guidelines? If Yes, what types of Numeric questions can be added.
Please leave your suggestions or suggestions.

Monika.

Hi, Monika.
Thank you for reaching out!
Numeric Fill-in-the-blank questions are accessible when designed with some best practices in mind. The link below shows the Web Content Accessibility Guideline (WCAG) criteria that Storyline supports. Take a look at 1.3.1 and 3.3.2, for example, as relevant to form fields:
When using those types of interactions, it's a good idea to give learners instructions on what's expected of them through alt-text and meaningful labels.
I wanted to add a couple of additional resources:
- Storyline 360: How to Design an Accessible Course
- Storyline 360: Adding Alternative Text for Screen Readers
I hope this helps!
