Is there a function to export all Rise 360 courses that were created to show Manager?

I'm in a dilemma. My former manager left the organization. As a result, my new manager wants to access Rise and see what courses were created by my former manager.

I tried to explain to my new manager that she will not understand the Rise process, that it's not a good idea to go in alone, and that she should go in with me. However, she is determined to go in and see the curses herself. She has no experience using Rise!

My former manager was not very organized, and there were copies left, which added to the confusion.

Is there a way to print out the course titles so I can at least show them to my new manager? She is going to go regardless.

How would you handle this?

  • Hi CJLu - Given your statements that she is in the role temporarily, and that she is not familiar with using the software, I would suggest that you not set her up with any sort of creator permissions (which require a license); if she effectively requires that she have some sort of permission, then the Group Manager role (as defined in the link) is probably what I would assign to her.

However, if the modules are published to Review360, she doesn't need any license at all, and that's by far the path of least resistance here, I think.

    Good luck -

One way to manage the manager would be to publish the "you know it's a good copy" versions of the different courses to Review360, and then send her the links to the various published courses.

Another method would be to start with the licensing aspect; if she doesn't have a license, she can't do anything more than review content / courses just as the SMEs do.

The most professional way, I think, would be to schedule an hour (or even 30 minutes) with her and walk her through the existing courses. That works because she then recognizes that you are taking ownership of her request (and not simply putting her off), and you can "show and tell" for 30 minutes; then send the links to Review360 at the end of the meeting.

      Hi JHauglie

In my original post, I should have mentioned that my new manager is only a temporary manager until the role is filled.

When you mention the licensing aspect for this solution, I think you give a good remedy.  So, my temporary manager can be licensed, which would only allow her to view the courses, meaning her permissions would NOT include being a creator?

This link will answer my question: Permissions and Roles

  • Hi CJLu,

This sounds like a tricky situation!

I'm glad JHauglie was able to provide some suggestions. You can also publish the Rise course for PDF, then download and print it. Keep in mind that interactive elements may not appear the same way in the PDF. This list walks through how those elements display.

If your new manager is open to it, a bit of training can go a long way. Here are a few resources to get them started:
