Is there any equation editor?
I am working on a course that involves mathematical equations and fractions. Is there a simple and less time-consuming way to enter fractions? I have to currently insert three text boxes for numerator, denominator and the dividing line. I saw a discussion around this in the community that is posted around 6 yrs back and I am hoping that there is a way out now. Kindly suggest.
Hello everyone, 🎉
I have some great news to share. We just released another update for Storyline 360. In Update 97, we’ve included essential fixes and new features. One of the new features we’ve included is:
- Build math equations using LaTeX syntax and revise them by adding color and alt text, all within Storyline 360.
Launch the Articulate 360 desktop app on your computer to take advantage of this update, and click the Update button next to Storyline 360. You’ll find our step-by-step instructions here.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have additional questions.

Does using an image for an equation meet basic accessibility standards?
Hi Hannah!
Great question! To meet basic accessibility standards, you'd need to add alt text that conveys the same information as the image.

Hello, I wanted to know if there is an equation editor in storyline 360 as of today.

if not, what are your recommendations in how to add equations

Rachna. Math formulas aren't support in Storyline. I am using Avina Authoring Tools for my courses. It has a built-in mathematical formula tool. This can help you quickly prepare the course.

Rachna. You right. Its been six long years already. Check back in another four years.
I do all my work for a science community and you can only imagine the pain. I've shifted to iBooks Author as my main blended learning materials development platform. Its free. LaTex is a breeze. And allows me to drop and drag in widgets, especially from Geogebra.
But still keeping an eye on Storyline development from the corner of my eye.

Thanks for sharing other resources. I think with so many product feature requests from the growing community it's kind of tough for Articulate team to prioritize this one. I hope they can soon add this feature too.
Hi Rachna!
While Storyline 360 doesn't have a mathematical question editor, we're tracking these requests! If we add this feature in a future update, we'll let you know.
