Layer is effecting my scoring in software simulation
Hello all,
I am creating a software simulation. Users get two chances to select the right hotspot. I also have a layer that can open/close for users as they wish, to get the information for the simulation.
My issue comes when the user gets the first attempt wrong, and they try to view my info layer, they can't go back and try to get the hotspot. Is there a way to have a layer not count against or not interact with the 2 guess interaction?
Unfortunately, I can't share a file, but any ideas would be great.
Thanks in advance.

Hi, Wendy.
Thank you for reaching out!
If you want to maintain the hotspot interaction, then I would suggest creating a layer (info_button) where you would add a button to open\close another layer (information):
On your base layer, add a trigger to show the info_button layer when the timeline starts.
Make sure the slide properties of the two layers (info_button and information) have the hide other slide layers checkbox unchecked.
Let me know if this works!

It does not. Now, when I click the Info_button, it gives me a "incorrect" layer. I would like the layer to be hidden as the slide comes up, and then give the user the opportunity to either open or close the Information section with no impact on scoring. Maybe I'm not understanding your instructions, but I am not able to complete the task.

Hi, Wendy.
Thank you for trying the steps above! I'm sending you a sample file with the way I have the layers set up in my example.
I ended up making one change: I unchecked the hide other slide layers option in the information layer but left it checked for the info_button one.
Can you check if it works on your end?

Hi Wendy
I would like to add scores to my software simulation. The learner should get a score for every correct click they make. Unfortunately I cannot find any clues on how to do this.
I have added a results slide but I cannot allocate the score to each hotspot and then send them, to the results slide.
Do you have any documentation for this I could refer to?
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Many thanks
Gary
