Layout randomly disappearing
Hi,
I have flagged this issue before but it is now becoming increasingly more urgent.
I have completed development of a project, published and delivered to client, client reported problems with some screens.
Turns out that some of the screens had "lost" their layouts therefore the background disappears and text box fonts were reset.
I went through, reapplied the layouts to the affected slides, republished, checked again and this time it was a couple of other slides that had lost their layouts.
It takes a couple of hours to complete a cycle of fix, check, publish, check and I am still getting this problem.
This has happened on all my projects, however this latest one seems to be constant.
My story size is just over 220MB, using s/l 360, 12GB RAM, plenty of spare HDD.
When I look at the storyline flowchart of slides, the layout appears to be there, but when I click on the slide, the layout is not there, so I cannot even just do a quick visual check of the storyline slide flowchart, I must open every slide.
I have attached an image of what I am up against.
Is this a fault or has someone else overcome this issue?
Hello Sylvia!
Since you're under a tight deadline, I've started a case on your behalf and escalated it to our Support Engineers. You should've received an email confirmation that included an upload link where you can share the .story file with us.
Our Support Engineers will continue the conversation in your support case.

Hi,
I'm wondering if this was ever resolved, as the same thing happens for me. Randomly, the layout on a slide(s) will just disappear.
Any fix for this?
Thank you
Hi Marguerita!
Sorry to hear you've also run into this issue!
If you've confirmed that you are working locally, and a repair of your Storyline installation doesn't fix the behavior, do you mind sharing one of the affected .story files for testing on our end? Feel free to attach it here in the discussion or privately through a support case.
We'll let you know as soon as we receive it!
