Lightbox without pausing the timeline
Sara,
Maybe you can find something useful here?
Richard
Hi, the link you posted no longer works and I'm facing the same issue. I use the lightbox to make a logbook appear for the user but I don't want the content on the main slide to pause. Could you help me figure out a solution?

Hello Lilian_bvr,
Thanks for reaching out! I did want to confirm that this functionality is not currently possible in Storyline 360.
The discussion that was linked by RichardWatson has been archived in the new community. I'll be happy to share their workarounds for your reference!

Hi Joanna i guess there is no way to do this.
what you have to do is that you have to copy all the Triggers to the Light box as well using reference to the time to get it running
I am Attaching an example. it is just for the sake of your help and you can modify your Timer as you want
You can control the timeline to be resumed or paused only if you are working on the layers
If you need further information you can ask.Their file example.story is attached for your reference.

Hi joanna,
I was working on your issue so come up with an idea by putting the timer on the master slide. Also your base layer and lightbox should have same timeline for e.g 1sec or 2 as you want your timer to adjust.
I hope you will find it usefulAttached you'll find an upgraded version of their timer.story file for your reference.
I hope this helps!- Lilian_bvr2 months agoCommunity Member
Hi! Thank you for reaching out. In fact, I have found a workaround using variable to unpause the video I had on the main slide as soon as the lightbox opens. I will soon publish a tutorial on my linkedin to explain how I did it.
But thank you, I will have a look at what you sent!
