Linking between lessons
I'd like to link other lessons in Rise. I see that the button block element supports linking to other lessons in the same course (via the Destination dropdown), but I also want to use hyperlinks in the text to link to other lessons. How can I get the relative URL so I can hyperlink?

Hi everyone,
Okay, so I'm trying to create a branching scenario in rise that will allow me to link to different lessons within the same course. If the user clicks one button, he jumps to a completely different location than someone clicking the second button, can I do this in Rise?

Hi James
yes - use the Interactive block Button or Button stack options

Hyperlinking to lessons from any text would be very beneficial. So would being able to to anchor to specific blocks within the same lesson. Is this is the best forum to request that as a feature? thanks.

Again this feature was requested 4 years ago. I've come to the conclusion that Rise is almost useles,s as everything I need to be able to do can't be done. And when it is requested by anyone it isn't implemented.
What do the development team actually do??

+1 for this! I'd love to link from a labeled graphic to other lessons in the course. I'd like to make an interactive graphic menu for the course.

After all these years, this request is still relevant. is there an update yet?

+1 to being able to use a hyperlink feature to link to another lesson within the same Rise course.
Thought it'd be nothing more than bringing the function of a button to selected text. Add it to the link functionality currently available and give the two options: standard hyperlink and link to location in the course.
Hi Yannick!
Is your Rise course hosted on a web server? If so, you can open the lesson you want to link to, and copy the URL in the address bar. That URL will link directly to the lesson.
Keep in mind this only works if you're linking to a lesson from another website or from a separate Rise course.
I haven't seen someone hyperlink to a lesson within the same Rise course, since you would have to set up that hyperlink prior to hosting the content on a web server.

Hi James, Yes you can. Above was only re if you are trying to branch to lessons from different Rise courses. If all lessons are within one Rise course, it's all good. Cheers Christine

I also have this question about linking to a lesson within the same Rise Course and unfortunately the button options won't work for me.
Hi Sherri,
Currently using buttons is the only way to link to another lesson within the same Rise Course without opening another instance of that course. Would you be up for logging a feature request to tell us more about your specific needs?
In the meantime, if there’s anything else I can do to help, please let me know!
