Managing a course creation from two separate computers. Same logon.

I am using my personal computer to create coursework. Using my work logon. However, when I logon to my work computer, I am unable to see the updates that I have made. What's a solution for viewing files from two different computers using the same logon?

  • Hi, Tanya,

Even though you can open the Storyline program from both computers using the same account, you can't open the same file. That's because a Storyline file exists on a given computer's hard-drive.

If you're going to switch between your personal and work computers, you'll have to transfer copies of the file back and forth. For example, you could upload the most recent version to SharePoint, Box, OneDrive, or similar cloud-based storage. Then download that to whichever computer you're using. You just have to be careful about tracking your versions.
