Marker Text Bubbles Incorrectly Displaying

Hi,

I have numerous markers in my course template which have text bubbles displayed when hovering over them to help guide the viewer.  However, I'm finding that the bubbles and the text in them will randomly become separated when a slide layer is revisited (see the attached images).  I've tried numerous reformatting and resizing of the text and bubble but it still keeps occurring.

Has anyone seen this behaviour before and how can it be remedied? This is probably the last bug that I need to fix before using the template to create numerous learning modules and, although it's a relatively minor issue, I really need to solve the problem!

Thanks

  • Hi Barry

Is this behaviour in preview and publish? Which version of SL are you using.  Can you share one of the slides that it happens on.

    Hi Wendy,

It occurs on both preview and publish.  I'm using the desktop version (v3.59.26702.0).

I've attached a file with you should be able to create the issue by flipping between the topic layers (What?, Why? and How?) and then moving back and forth between their 'pages' using the next and previous markers at the bottom of the screen.

    Thanks

      Hi Barry

I tried removing the fade animations from the markers and also checked the option 'show all on hover' to see if either made a difference - but it didn't.

I'd log a support ticket with Articulate and get them to have a look at it. All the best with your project - sorry I couldn't be of help.

    Hi Wendy,

No problem at all.  Thanks for looking at it.

As I said, it's a minor annoyance rather than a blocker. I doesn't appear it will occur at all unless the slides are revisited. If so, it's totally dependent on the learner's approach to the module and will unlikely be seen.

However, as I hate leaving even minor issues unaddressed, I'll do as you suggest and log a ticket anyway.

    Thanks again :)
