Quizz Display trouble
Hello everyone,
Yesterday, several users (in different centers) had Quizz display troubles. Here are some examples:
They were on Google Chrome or Edge, but I have no more details since I wasn't there.
Do you know if the problem was caused because of a Chrome or Edge version?
It really is an issue since the quizzes are final exam to validate professional trainings.
Thank you in advance for your help.
Regards,
Veronique.
Hi VroniqueCalais,
Thanks for reaching out!
I'm sorry to hear several learners experienced an issue with the course formatting, but I'm happy to help troubleshoot.
- Do you experience any issues when previewing or publishing the course? If the course plays as expected for some and not others, it's likely related to the environment in which it's viewed. Learners will want to check the system requirements for viewing Storyline 360 courses.
- Are you using an LMS?
I understand it's hard to troubleshoot when other users are experiencing the issue. If you're comfortable sharing your course here or privately in a support case, I'd be happy to do some testing on my end. We'll delete the files from our systems once the issue is resolved.

Hi Kelly!
Thank you so much for your help!
I don't mind sharing the story file.
The thing is: I myself already had this trouble displaying the quiz and without changing anything in my system requirement, it ended working out perfectly.
As for the learners yesterday, I asked for more information about their system settings but the teacher formated the computers.
The course is displayed on the LMS Mind on Site (a Swiss LMS); we have around 20 quiz modules (among 800 lesson modules). But apparently, only two presented problems.
Hi VroniqueCalais,
Thank you for this update. I have some additional questions for you!
- Were your learners successful in viewing the course in most instances? It would be helpful to know more details!
- You mentioned two modules were not working as expected. Just to clarify, are these modules referencing the quiz banks or one of the modules in the course?
- If I understand correctly, after a second try, you were able to experience the correct formatting when viewing the course in the LMS?
I'd like to have our Support Engineers investigate this further. I've gone ahead and opened a support case on your behalf. They will be in touch shortly via email to troubleshoot this issue with you further!

Hi Luciana,
Thanks for your help on this case!
Here are my answers to your questions:
- usually, yes, the course displays as expected - learners take the test in training centers on tablets with Android Systems, using Chrome and these tablets should all be set identically; but I think it's possible some learners change some things for some tablets, though I don't know what
- The 2 mentioned modules are built the same way with question banks
- Indeed, when the learners changed computer or tablet, it finally worked out properly
The thing is I know my modules are well set to displays correctly on LMS (and the support sent me a mail saying it worked properly) but my clients want them to display EVERY time correctly (which I perfectly understand). Unfortunately I don't have more information about the navigator or the system, since they formated the computer or can't find the tablet that was used anymore.
My questions are:
- has this problem already been encountered?
- beside the basic requested settings, is there something you would recommend to ensure modules display correctly? such as erasing browsing history...
Thank you again for your help here 🙏 these kind of problems make me feel bad when I can't find a sustainable solution...
