Reference text not displaying on subsequent slide

Using Articulate 360, has anyone had experience with a reference text not displaying on a subsequent slide? I have 2 layers where the learner enters text that I want to display on the next slide. One works, the other doesn't. I've attached the file. I've looked at this until my eyes are crossed. I even compared the variable use for each which didn't help matters any because I found duplicates that I can't find in the layers. TIA!

  • Hi Caryl,

I think your problem is with the "Text Entry" variable.

On slide 1.1 when the user types in the information for the logo, it is placed in the "TextEntry" variable. However, on slide 1.2, I don't think you were referencing the "TextEntry" variable, therefore the information that the user typed about the logo would never show up.

On slide 1.2, I changed the first trigger under "Logo Hotspot." I changed it to be "Set LogoText to variable TextEntry, when the user clicks Logo Hotspot." When I did this, the information I typed on slide 1.1 was captured in the "TextEntry" variable and was then displayed on slide 1.2 when I clicked on the KUMC hotspot. I have attached the Storyline file for you to see.
