Micro Learning

When unpacking a Micro Learning course saved to Web my computer blocks a .js file as may contain a virus. I assume this is a Javascript file needed by the application as once unpacked it doesn't run. Can anybody tell me why Storyline still uses Javascript files still after is discontinuation?

  • Are you referring to Flash? Javascript is used extensively in front-end development and is widely used.  Regarding javascript files used by Storyline, there are several:

user.js, located in the story_content folder. If the developer used a trigger that executes javascript, you'll find it in this file.

    In the html5/lib/scripts folder, you'll find additional *.js files (bootstrapper.min.js, frame.desktop.min.js, frame.mobile.min.js, and slides.min.js).

  • As Richard points out JS has not been discontinued, Without the JS the course won't work. Do you have an old package with flash files?
