Motion Paths updating durations automatically?

Hey all,

I just updated to storyline360 version 3.52.25156.0

I have a slide where I have several objects traveling on motion paths with different durations. I turned off easing and typed in a new duration for one of them. Now, if I click on the object I typed the time in for, then click on another object with a motion path it changes it to that time. In order to change it and get it to stick, I have to click off the object first so nothing is selected then click on the object I want to change the timing on. Is anyone else having motion path issues with this update?

Knowing someone who has not updated from 3.51 yet, this is not happening for them.

I've included a test slide where I reproduced my problem in case anyone wants to take a look.

  • Hello Justin!

Sorry, you're running into this issue! I don't see recent reports of a similar issue, and I'm not finding the same behavior with your project. If it's not too much trouble, would you mind sharing a Peek or screen recording of the issue?

I am having the same issue with my file.

I manually entered a time for one of the motion paths and now all motion paths are automatically updating themselves to match that time. I'll go back and re-enter the time for all motion paths and it will work for a short time until I touch them again and then they all revert back to the manually entered time. It has gotten so bad that I am now having to redo all motion paths and triggers associated. About two hours of work.

If there is a way to avoid this problem so I can manually enter times again, please keep us updated!

      Thank you.

Oh no, Alex, I'm sorry you've lost so much time because of this!

I don't see that we were able to recreate Justin's issue, so would you be willing to share one of the troublesome files here, as well as a Peek recording of it in action? We would love to help nail down the cause of this and find a solution!
