Moving hotspots on video
Hi all,
I can't find a solution to this, hopefully someone can help.
I have a health and safety video that I'd like students to click the hazards as they appear on screen, which I've tried to create in Articulate Storyline. As the video is moving I've added motion path animations to the hotspot to track the hazards. When I use a hotspot freeform question it doesn't seem to register the movements of the hotspots, or I can't
I'm picking up Storyline again after a while so I'm a bit rusty, perhaps there's an easy solution that I'm missing! Any advice is welcomed.
Thank you!

Hi,
By building the interaction as you did, there can only be one correct answer. Therefore, it will not work to have the student click on multiple hotspots as correct.
May I suggest putting in normal slides that are not question slides and building slides with still images of different areas of your work area. Then you can add multiple hotspots for students to click on and identify different hazards. If you don't need grading, you can simply have a layer for each slide to say Correct, and a different layer to say Incorrect. You can program the different hotspots to show the different layers. If you need grading, you could do it with variables and "hidden" quiz question slides. I won't go into all the detail on how to do that here.
Let me know if you have additional questions.

Thanks for your response! So would it not be possible to do with moving hotspots?

I believe you can use moving hotspots. I did a test on my own and it didn't seem to matter that the hotspot was moving on a motion path. Whenever I clicked on it, it functioned properly.
As stated before, since you are using a question slide, I believe Storyline will only record one result as correct, not all of them.
