Need a Co Worker to Publish a Course Whil I am on Vacation
Hi, I tried to transfer ownership of my Rise course to a co worker so she can publish it as a new version while I am on PTO. I changed the setting to owner but she does not have access to Review>Publish a New Version of An Existing Item setting.
I initially tried to add her as an editor but that did not work.
I would appreciate any suggestions!
Thank you! Maribeth

Hi Maribeth,
Thanks for reaching out!
I see you've opened a support case and you're working with my colleague Chester. You're in great hands.
We'll continue the conversation over in your case.
Have a great start to your day!

Hi,
I have had issues understanding permissions when collaborating and publishing versions to Review. It isn't clear what settings are required to share the same thread of versions of an existing course in Review. The problem is that a new set of Review course versions is published under each account. If anyone can clarify how to resolve this, it would be helpful.
Thanks,
Nick
Hello Nick,
Thanks for reaching out!
You can check out this article to learn more about tasks and permissions when publishing items to Review 360.
Here's the procedure for publishing a new version of an existing course in Review 360.
- Publish your content to Review 360. Items are stored in the Private root directory when you first publish directly from authoring apps.
- Move it to any folder in the Team directory, including the root folder.
- Make sure co-authors have editor access to the folder.
Note that when you publish a new version of a course you don't own, the new version will get published to the course owned by the original course author - this won't transfer ownership of the course to yourself.
Let me know if you have any questions!
