Need learners to copy and paste link from Rise but it changes to add the text "opens in a new tab"

This is kind of a weird question. We have process steps in our Rise course that guide learners through adding a very specific email signature. We ask them to copy a sentence from the Rise course that includes a link and paste it directly into their Outlook signature. When this is done from the Rise course, however, I'm noticing that the pasted text always adds the words "opens in a new tab" with the hyperlinked text. Is there any way to copy the text and link from Rise and paste it without having "opens in a new tab" added? When I copy and paste the same test/link from other media (Word, Teams chat, etc.), it does not add the text "opens in a new tab."

  • Hello,

I am facing the same issue.

I have content in which there are several texts with links that users must copy and paste into Microsoft Teams posts. When we paste the linked text, it is added "opens in a new tab".

In Microsoft Word happens the same issue.
