NEW IN ARTICULATE 360 TEAMS: Transfer Content
Today we released a new feature that’s just for Articulate 360 Teams: transfer content. Now it’s easy to maintain control of your content when team members change.
The new transfer content feature lets you transfer projects when users are removed from your Articulate 360 Teams account. You can transfer Storyline 360 team slides, Rise 360 courses and block templates, and Review 360 content.
Here’s how easy it is to transfer content:
We hope this new feature is helpful!
Hi everyone!
We are excited to share that we have released Rise 360 Team Folders! You can now create shared team folders in Rise 360 to organize your content and share content with collaborators even faster. We know this has been a popular feature request and we can't wait for you to finally check it out!
Your Rise 360 dashboard will look a little different, but don't worry. You can find all of your content, personal and shared, in the My View section. If you run into any snags or have additional questions about Rise 360 Team Folders, our team is available in this discussion or in a support case.

Awesome first step....now I think we need to go further. How about an option where every Rise course created by the team can be accessed by everyone else on the team by default?
- cmlubbersCommunity Member
Exactly what I just requested.

This would be awesome, now it takes alot of time adding collaborators, especially when moving form 1 single use account to a teams account.
Adding an option that all team members can work and see the course in their dashboard by default would be perfect.

YESSSSSS PLEASE! It would be great if content created was automatically available to the rest of the team. When you in a large team I get that you may not want this, but in a small team it is critical. It isn't just a situation when someone leaves, but what about when they are on holidays and you need to make an urgent update. If they haven't shared it with anyone then else then you are out of luck.

Could the function also move user created content to other members of the team, without removing user? That could also be useful. Sure it can be done today with copy / share and delete on each content. But i like the one button click "move account content" approach.
That's an interesting idea! Right now, there isn’t a way to do that in Rise 360. Would you be up for logging a feature request to tell us more about your specific needs?
In the meantime, if there’s anything else I can do to help, please let me know!

While I appreciate that this feature is useful when permanently removing a user from a team, in the case of the team I work in it is proving to be problematic. We swap seats quite regularly, as different members of our team require Articulate 360 access at different times. I believe this is a common situation for many Articulate 360 customers.
Since the introduction of this feature we have encountered issues with content being assigned elsewhere or - worse - deleted accidentally when team members are swapping seats. The fact that it is possible to permanently delete Rise/Review content from the pop-up, with no possibility of recovery, is extremely risky. The current system puts users in a position where they could easily delete sensitive and important work with no warning that this is irreversible, or transfer content without a paper trail to follow. Again, this poses a real problem when swapping seats on a regular basis.
I've already submitted a feature request to change the default of the pop-up to 'Nothing - just remove user from team', as we believe that would significantly reduce the amount of mistakes made. But I wanted to reiterate here the gravity of making an error when swapping seats, and draw this to the attention of the community and development team.

A word of caution from a freelance ID to teams account admins: If you're not providng your team member an account that will only be used for your business (e.g., inviting them to work with you from their personal account), make sure you select DO NOTHING when the time comes to end the working relationship.
I had a client accidentally take over all of my work done over 2 years for different clients, including my eportfolio. It took over 2 weeks to get it all back, requiring help from Articulate's senior-level support. This was a huge setback for me in terms of time. Luckily, I didn't run into any issues with clients, but I could easily have run into legal issues regarding NDA-protected/sensitive information.

I would also suggest that the feature not be buried underneath the "X" - that's scary! It looks like you're removing the user and there's no indication of future options AFTER you've selected to remove the user. I'd love to see "re-assign content" from a type of settings menu (though I get that this right now is a account removal option only, not just a transfer from user to user option in general). Perhaps some help text that says "Remove user and transfer content" when you scroll over the "X" option?
Hey folks! I wanted to pop in and share this article: How Freelancers Work With Articulate 360 Teams.
If you're a freelancer looking to join a client’s Articulate 360 team, be sure to follow those steps to preserve your personal Articulate 360 content!
Let us know if you have any questions about that workflow! 😁
Hi Amanda! It's possible to retrieve those courses, but you'll want to enlist the help of your IT staff. Here's how:
Step 1:
Add the user back to your team with the same email address they used before. Since the email address is no longer active, ask your IT staff to temporarily grant you access to it or to forward incoming messages to you. Then click the activation link in their email invitation.
After reactivating the user's team membership, your IT staff can disable the email address again. Most organizations find it's trivial to temporarily reactivate an email address to demonstrate that they have control over it. This is a safeguard for your organization, for us, and for the data being transferred to a new owner.
Step 2:
Remove the user from your team again and choose the option to transfer their content to someone else.
This article describes where the new owner can find content that was transferred to them.
Let me know if you have any questions along the way. I'm happy to help!- AmandaGlinskiCommunity Member
Thank you. I appreciate the quick response.

Absolutely agree with M. Bosscher. That would make team management of courses simple and secure.
- SashaMaloneCommunity Member
Agreed, m y colleague is away on long service leave and I need to access one of her courses so this function would be really helpful and secure
Thanks for chiming in, folks! We'll let you know here if we make enhancements to managing content at the team level.

@Crystal Horn, is there any timeline when this feature would be added?
- NicolePapaio978Community Member
She can add you as a collaborator/course owner.

Hi James,
Your Articulate 360 Teams comes with collaborative authoring tools! Here is an article about ways to work on a course with other team members!
If you have explored all the options in the above article, the account administrator can remove the owner and transfer their content. Then, when they return, the seat can be reassigned.
If you need help with this process, please open a support case.
Thanks for reaching out!

Our team member returned this week. I have reassigned a seat to them and am transferring ownership of each of their previous courses back to them, one-by-one.
Is there a way to select multiple courses to transfer back to their ownership? Or is the only way to do this to open the course in Rise, and select Share and go through the steps in there? Could a "multiple course transfer" option be looked at in a future iteration of Rise?Hi James! Just following up: We are looking at some different ways to manage content to make these bulk changes easier for you. We'll update you here with any changes that can help!
