NEW IN RISE 360: Closed Captioning
We’ve just released a powerful new feature in Rise 360: closed captioning. Now you can upload closed caption files to videos to make your content more accessible.
It’s easy to add closed captions to your Rise 360 courses. Just click Edit and select Manage captions in any block that showcases a video. Select the language, and then add your file. You can add as many languages as you like.
We hope you love this helpful new feature!

Sorry to hear you are having an issue too. At least I'm not going crazy. I have 4 videos to publish next week and captions are a requirement. I hope the issue gets resolved quickly.

Jamie: As a temporary fix for your next week captioned courses, maybe you could use Storyline, place the video in a Story project and use the CCs tools in there. You could even use the Storyline CC video in a Rise course as a Storyline multimedia embed (yet his option only support one language, I think)
Hey folks,
I'm really sorry for the trouble! Our team spotted the issue with closed caption files in Rise 360, and we're working on a fix. As soon as this is resolved, we'll let you know!

I'm having the same issues. Captions have worked fine in the past but I've tried today and it won't work. Is there a way to sign up for notifications when this is fixed? I need to have the course to my client tomorrow.
Hi everyone!
We just released a fix for this issue! Closed caption files should now import correctly in Rise 360. Please refresh your Rise 360 browser window to take advantage of this fix.
Let us know if you run into any more trouble!

Hi Alyssa,
The captions appear to be fixed when tested in the Articulate Rise 360 environment. I can upload a caption file and the captions now work when playing back the video. Thanks. However, I'm still not able to see the captions on video after I export to Web. In my web based course,I see the option to turn on the captions, but they don't appear when activated. Just wondering if you are able to replicate this issue or if it's on my end only.

ok, this is not a CC question but...
"Why isn't my first frame or thumbnail image showing for my uploaded video?"
just a blank black screen with the player triangle. Click the play button and video runs fine.
I just need an image there.
Hey, Mark. That sounds like something we'd want to take a closer look at. Would you mind sharing the Web output file with our team?
If that works for you, you can send it privately by opening a case here.

Good morning, I think I have the same problem, when I export from Rise in LMS1.2 I lose the CC display. They are enabled by interface but they don't appear. In Rise and Review are present. Am I missing something in the export phase?
Hi Alberto,
Would you mind sharing a copy of your SCORM output file? We'd love to test it from our side.
If that works for you, you can send it privately by opening a case.

When will CC be available for the audio only blocks.
Thanks for asking, Nancy! We don't have closed captioning for audio blocks on our roadmap right now. We'll let you know if that changes!
