No Shuffle Option for Matching Drag & Drop

Could you share more detail on what you're experiencing with the drag-and-drop interaction?

I'm happy to champion a feature idea or troubleshoot any odd behavior!

I am having a similar issue with sequence drag and drop. Shuffle answers is greyed out, so the question displays in the correct sequence. 

Is there a way to shuffle sequence drag and drop questions? I don't see how this could be overlooked by developers, as not being able to shuffle the choices defeats the whole purpose of this type of question.

Use Storyline 360.

Thanks for contacting us and sharing that you're running into a similar issue in Storyline 360.

As Ren mentioned above, the option is unavailable because this type of interaction will shuffle by default.

I've recorded a quick Peek 360 video to demonstrate what you will see when creating and previewing the content as well as my sample slide.

Leslie, it looks like your Peek sample is not the same template from the original poster.  This is the Matching Drag and Drop as he has shown above.  I have the same problem and Preview does not shuffle.  This is obviously a bug.  I use 360 -  V3.50.244668.0

You're absolutely right. My example was specific to the subsequent question asked by S T, which was specific to the sequence drag and drop question type.

I've added on to that sample and created a Peek 360 video for you as well.

Shuffle during preview is working for me on matching drag and drop questions.

• Do you see the same issue during preview if you create a new matching drag and drop question?
• We are currently on Build 3.50.24832.0 of Storyline 360. You can read all of the details here.

There appears to be another bug as well - if you allow 2 attempts, the pieces don't reset so you essentially are stuck with your original answers. This also happens if you change your mind on the first attempt. Better to make your own freeform drag and drop quiz question.

Thanks for sharing this with us! We don't currently have this behavior logged as a software bug, so I'd like to gather more information from you. Are you finding the drag items aren't resetting after one attempt when the total number of attempts is set to two? With your permission, I'd like our Support Engineers to take a look at your project. Would you mind uploading the .story file to their team using a support case?

Hi Maria, yes it is the matching question as per the image that you have attached. 
I was concerned because the options didn't shuffle in the preview, but after publishing it, it shuffled during the first try, but when I closed and reopened, it didn't shuffle -  OR it just coincidently shuffled in the absolute correct order :-(
