Offline Viewing with modern player
Will it some day be possible, to download a course for offline use, which is published with modern player?
Today there is no option, for using the Articualte mobile app, when using the modern player.
Will there be an update for the Articulate mobile app?
Hi Chuck and Andrew,
Thanks! That's helpful insight. Does it need to be offline for mobile use or will your learners be on laptops? The latter is possible right now by having authors publish for CD/local source and then advising learners to download the files to their laptop before going offline.

Thanks, Ashley. Our need is offline for mobile use on an Android tablet.
Thanks, Andrew! I'll pass that need along.

I think the reason that the AMP has been 'left behind' is that it's use breaks the link with the SCORM tracking on an LMS (coupled with the cost of maintaining apps of course). Many of my clients want to track completions so can't use the app. However there are other clients who are using Storyline as a performance support authoring tool and they would really value the ability to download and access learning content offline so for example a short 'how to' guide could be accessed in the field where there is patchy 3G coverage.
Spotify is a good example of how you can mix and match online and offline - when i travel I will download some music but generally I'll use the web client.
Ultimately we may be able to consume content offline and still track via the LMS using some form of hybrid approach...or maybe absolutely EVERYWHERE will be 3G connected at some point in the future!

Thanks John. In some cases we seperate the learning content (for download in the app) and link to a seperate quiz online. Thats not ideal, but I hope Articulate will come up with a nice solution soon.

Mattias....yes that's something I've done as well but it's 'sub optimal' as they say!

I actually think Articulate could leverage the app to act as a sort of offline LMS launchpad. It could provide a nice UX to launch and view courses and store some basic SCORM tracking data (mostly just a completion or pass flag and score) which could be relayed to the cloud when the device was connected to the internet. Alternatively use xAPI to manage the tracking.

So if I publish with the classic player in order for users to be able to use a storyline application offline with AMP, do I have to worry that the AMP is going to be discontinued in the Google Play and iOS app stores?

Hi Dan,
Our team is continuing to monitor and track requests for an Articulate 360 version or updates to the Articulate Mobile Player. While we haven't made any development decisions at this time, we'll be sure to provide updates as soon as we have more details to share.

Hi, there!
Any update to get the Articulate Mobile Player functional again on iPad (iOS13)?
This is the screen I get and no course can be loaded.
Can you please suggest a way for offline viewing on mobile devices?
Thank you!
Hello Gonzalo,
I just replied to a similar conversation here.
We can keep chatting over there, but I wanted to share the link for anyone else following along.

Hi, everyone:
Any news about an alternative to the AMP to view outputs offline after Dec 31, 2020?
Thank you!
Hi Gonzalo!
Thanks for contributing your voice to how important offline access is for you. We still haven't made any development decisions yet, but will notify you if that changes and if we know of other options!

Is there any word on being able to publish and download Storyline files for offline viewing. This is becoming a major point for my company.....
Hello Anthony!
You can download Storyline files for offline viewing now. Just publish your content for CD and then you could either zip the published output, and copy it to a network drive. (Users must extract the zip file before viewing.) or zip the published output, and email it directly to users. (Users must extract the zip file before viewing it.)
