One Correct and One Incorrect Text Entry, Help?

Hello everyone,

I have a specific question on text entry fields on Storyline 360. Consider that I have 3 text entries on a page and a button to control my answers. When I click on the control button, I want my correct answers to stay in the text entries, while the incorrect ones should be deleted. As an alternative way, I just tried to add some states for text entries like indicating incorrect ones with red for example, but since there is no option for text entries as states, I could not manage it as well.

Is it possible to create a scenario like that within Storyline 360? Actually, I need urgent help! Big thanks to everyone!

  • Hello, Bahcesehir, and welcome to E-Learning Heroes! ✨

I am looking forward to what our community members will suggest for you. In the meantime, my suggestion would be to indicate the correct/incorrect answers with a symbol. In the attached example, I used a circle that starts hidden, then changes to either green or red, depending on the answer.

For each text entry, add the following triggers for when the user clicks the button:

    • Change the state of the oval to green if the variable equals the desired value.
    • Change the state of the oval to red if the variable is different than the required value.
    • Set the variable to (blank) if the variable is different than the required value.

Let me know if this works!
