Option for multiple Rise quizzes to report to the LMS

Rise does not allow this functionality - multiple quizzes within a Rise course reporting to the LMS. It only allows course tracking based on 'course completion' or based on a 'quiz result' from a single quiz only.

Wouldn't it make sense to allow tracking on all quizzes (either separately or combined)?

What is the point of allowing multiple quizzes, if only the results for one can be tracked?

If we as developers cannot track all quizzes then we may as well just use Knowledge Checks. A KC may be nice for the learner, but doesn't provide any data to the developer.

The answer data (questions and learner selection regarding answer options) from all quizzes surfaces within the LMS report, so why can't the score % data?

Articulate, surely this is something to consider in 2026 for Rise 360?

Thanks.

I agree with this. If Rise already sends the individual question and answer data to the LMS, having the scores from all quizzes available seems like a reasonable next step. Multiple quizzes are useful for breaking up a course, but tracking only one result makes the reporting side awkward. Separate quiz scores or a combined score would give developers much better data without forcing us to replace quizzes with Knowledge Checks.

  • Limitation: Multiple Quiz Tracking in Articulate Rise

Articulate Rise currently restricts LMS reporting to a single quiz result per course, even when multiple quizzes are included. Course tracking is limited to either course completion or one quiz result only.

This limitation creates a gap: detailed answer-level data from all quizzes surfaces in LMS reports, yet aggregate quiz scores do not. Additionally, if multiple quiz results cannot be tracked, Knowledge Checks serve as the only supplementary assessment option, despite providing no reportable data to developers.

Recommendation: Enable LMS reporting for all quizzes within a course—either individually or as combined scores. This would align with the existing capability to display answer- level detail and provide developers with comprehensive learning analytics.

We would appreciate your consideration of this enhancement for Rise 360 in 2026.

    Thank you.

  • SCORM can happily store and report detailed question-level interaction data, so sending every question, answer selection and correct/incorrect response back to the LMS isn't really the issue.

The challenge is that SCORM was designed around the concept of a single course attempt with a single assessment outcome. In practice, that means most LMSs expect one completion status, one pass/fail status and one overall score for the package.

Because of that, sending separate scores for Quiz 1, Quiz 2, Quiz 3 and Quiz 4 isn't something standard SCORM naturally supports. You can send all the underlying question data, but there isn't really a standard mechanism for reporting multiple independent assessment scores from a single SCO.

In theory, Rise could aggregate the results from all quizzes and calculate a single overall score. That would fit perfectly well within the SCORM model.

What SCORM struggles with is treating each quiz as a separate reportable assessment while still packaging everything as a single course. T

xAPI is much more flexible in this respect. Rather than relying on a single course score, it records individual learning events as statements. Each quiz could be recorded independently with its own score, result, success status and completion data. An LRS could then report on Quiz 1, Quiz 2 and Quiz 3 separately, or aggregate them if required.

So I'd say the real question isn't whether Rise can send the data. It clearly can, because the question-level interactions are already available. The limitation is that SCORM was built around a single assessment result.  An aggregated score across all quizzes would be entirely reasonable in SCORM, but separate reportable scores for each quiz is really moving into xAPI territory.

      Hi Phil,

Publishing as an xAPi package doesn't really make any difference in this scenario as it's still only possible to track one quiz at a time. It's true the LMS can aggregate them but the LMS I use can already do this with SCORM packaged quizzes.

A combined score across multiple quizzes within a single Rise course is really what I'm looking for.

      Thanks for your input anyway.

      Best.

  • I think there are two slightly different conversations happening here.

Publishing as xAPI doesn't automatically solve the problem if Rise itself only exposes a single reportable quiz result. If the authoring tool is only sending one assessment outcome, switching from SCORM to xAPI won't magically create separate quiz scores.

Where xAPI differs is that the data model is much more flexible. If individual quiz results are being recorded as separate statements and stored in an LRS, then it's possible to aggregate those results afterwards. You could calculate an overall score across multiple quizzes, report on individual quiz performance, or build whatever logic you need in the reporting layer.

With SCORM, you're generally working within the model of one course attempt and one primary assessment result, even though question-level interaction data can still be captured.

In your case, though, I agree that the real ask isn't separate quiz reporting. It's simply:

"Allow all graded quizzes within a Rise course to contribute to a single reportable course score."
