Persistent blurryness

Help! I'm working on a training program that I drafted in powerpoint using powerpoint's stock graphics and basic shapes/text and a few photos, ect. Even after adjusting story size to 1920x1018 and importing the powerpoint, everything in it is blurry. Shapes, text, pictures, everything. It's blurry in the preview as well as the slide view. Unsure about publishing. Additionally, all the stock graphics that I had cropped in powerpoint re-sized themsleves into the crop area instead of cropping, and some graphics just changed entirely? Especially the facial expressions on characters. I'm working on a Windows 11 laptop (1920x1018 display) with Storyline's latest update as of 2/10/24 and my display setting scaling is set to the recommended 125%. I'm new to storyline and have no idea what's going wrong here. Here is a screenshot of what a slide looks like in powerpoint compared to its equivalent in storyline. Still readable, but it looks unprofessional and it's driving me NUTS. More concerned about the blurriness than the cropping. Any advice?

  • set your display scaling to 100% - the storyline editor only support 100%* with sharp contours

however, this problem does not affect the exported course

    * this is a well known problem and prevents the use of 4K screens with storyline
