Play Screen on Storyline Upload from Review360
Hi everyone!
I'm wondering if you can give me insight as to how to show my title slide as the initial image shown when I upload a Storyline interactive from Review360 into Rise.
See my screenshot example below. The old Storyline file included in the course provides the user with an image - this view is, I believe, user friendly and obvious to the learner as to what action to take.
As a comparison, I uploaded the updated Storyline file into the same course and it gives me a black rectangle with a play button. This black rectangle occurs with the modern player, and a gray play button appears if I use the classic player. IMO, it isn't as visually appealing as being greeted with a title page.
Do you have any insight if there are settings I can choose to make my updated file load like the original? My coworkers and I have searched player settings and can't find a solution.
Hi AndreaGillet121!
Happy to help with this!
A black play button will appear on Storyline Blocks, if the first Slide contains audio or video. This is the expected behavior, and a result of the web browser's handling of media present on a first Slide. However, we're currently tracking a feature request for allowing authors to customize the first frame of a Storyline Block, in Rise 360. I've included your voice in that request!
In the meantime, as a workaround, I suggest customizing the play button screen, by adding a course cover photo.
Please let me know if you have any more questions!

Thank you StevenBenassi for pointing out the use of what I now recognize is an obvious checkbox in my player settings! This will greatly improve our user experience with this required course for all users of our system.
