Problems with image quality
Hi Everyone
I'm using a slide with pictures on it, to zoom in and talk about certain parts.
When I zoom in, it's really blurry.
I've tried using one high quality image, but that doesn't work.
I've tried putting smaller (and many) high quality images on the slide, to 'build' the overall picture. But that doesn't work either.
Does anyone know if there is a maximum total image size per slide?
Thanks
Kassy
Thanks for detailing the troubleshooting you've done already, Kassy. Let us give you a hand!
First, great question. The maximum size for images in Storyline is 2,048 x 2,048 pixels. Now, let's look into what's happening with the quality:
- What version of Storyline are you using?
- We found an issue where zoom regions blur high-definition images in Storyline 360's HTML5 output. Does that description match what you're seeing?
- If that's not quite right, would you mind sharing your .story file with me so I can take a closer look? You can share it publicly here, or send it to me privately by using this upload link. I'll give it a test, and will delete it once we sort what's happening!

Hi Katie
Thanks for getting back to me.
I'm using 3.24.17733.0 I know there's an update available, but I don't like to update during a project, as it's caused me issues in the past.
And yes, what you've described is what I'm seeing.
I've had to work around it now and create individual slides for each zoom and trigger them, rather than using the zoom function.
It would be nice to fix this though, so I can do it in the future...

Thanks for confirming, Kassy. I'll tag this discussion for an update on this behavior. I'm glad you found a manageable workaround in the meantime.
Hi!
I am jumping into this discussion to share that we just released Storyline 360 (Build 3.63.27628.0) which includes the fix for the bug where images were blurry if they were in a Zoom Region. Now all you need to do is update Storyline 360 in your Articulate 360 desktop app! If you have additional questions, don't hesitate to reach out in this discussion or in a support case.
