Question Bank slides add to total slides
Background -
- My course has 40 slides (including the test bank slide).
- The test bank has 14 questions and draws 10 for assessment.
- The course tracks complete when the learner has viewed 40 slides.
- The assessment (test bank slide) appears at slide 37
I publish the course for an LMS and do not want the learner scores to post to the LMS rather, just show that they completed the course by viewing all the slides. It seems that the course is showing as completed if the learner views at least 4 assessment questions and exits the course. I am unable to adjust the number of slide to view because the software does not account for the questions in the bank when it shows the total number of slides. I know the simple fix is to have it show complete upon pass of quiz. However we don't want their actual score to upload to the LMS. Anyone got a work around? Is their a way to adjust the total number of slides?

Add complete trigger to results slide have it complete on trigger only

Thank you for responding,
I am not having an issue with it completing rather, it adds slide count to the total. I have 2 additional slides after the result slide. I was hoping there was a way to make the question bank slide count as only one even when they take the assessment and view the 10 question slides.

I forgot to add that I am using Storyline 3

You could remove the sides from the menu (if you are not using it and track by menu in the tracking options

Storyline 3 only allows for Slide view and quiz result, unfortunately.

There is no way to change the number of slides, You could track slide count in your own variable and then pass complete in javascript when it hits the number you are looking for.

This is a good idea. I am embarrassed to say that I do not know what that script would look like. Would you have something handy to show. I have minimal experience with Java.

I think I found a workaround for storyline 3. I was able to access an old SL 360 file (when our company allowed us to use it). I was able to pule a slide with a completion trigger and use the trigger in my project. This allowed the completion feature to be displayed in SL3.
