Quiz incorrect feedback not working

Hi we have created a question bank in Rise360 we have the feedback as correct/incorrect for some reason incorrect feedback doesn't come through all the time?  Even in the Any Response feedback it states correct if a tick but just a x if incorrect.  Any ideas/comments?

  • I have the same issue.

I've created a 5 question quiz that has the 1st question inside the quiz, but the other 4 questions come from a question bank of 9 questions. Every single question has feedback itself. But when I review the quiz I just see the feedback from the 1st question and no feedback from the rest.

But, if I review the question bank directly, I'm able to see all the feedback working correctly.
Any idea about what is wrong?

  • I've solved myself the issue.

The point was that when I added some days ago the 4 random question from 9 question bank they had not feedback defined.

Some days later I added the feedback in the question bank. But besides typo corrections in the text were correctly shown, not the feedback.

Today I tried to delete the random questions in my quiz and insert them again. Executing the quiz, and it worked nicely !!

Apart that tricky solution, maybe is an issue that should be solved.

      Hi Pedro,

Whenever you edit questions in a question bank, you need to re-do the question draw in Rise.

  • This seems to be intermittent but what I have noticed is, when it works there is no theme attached; but when the them is on the incorrect doesn't work.  I've contacted support and waiting for a reply.

  • Hello Lorraine,

It seems your Rise360 question bank is playing hide-and-seek with incorrect feedback. Let's uncover the issue and provide some ideas:

    1. **Check Your Settings**: Start by reviewing your settings in Rise360. Ensure that you've configured the feedback options correctly. Sometimes, a small setting tweak can make a big difference.

    2. **Content Format**: Ensure the content format (text, images, or videos) for both correct and incorrect feedback is consistent. A mismatch could be causing the issue.

    3. **Browser Compatibility**: Verify if the problem persists across different web browsers. Sometimes, browser compatibility can impact the display of feedback.

    4. **Scoring Logic**: Double-check the scoring logic for your questions. Make sure they are set up to recognize correct and incorrect answers accurately.

    5. **Preview Mode**: Try previewing your content to see if the issue occurs there as well. It might be a design or configuration issue specific to the authoring environment.

    6. **Update or Bug**: Ensure you have the latest version of Rise360. If not, updating the software might resolve the issue. It's also possible that the problem could be a bug, in which case you may need to contact Rise360 support.

    7. **Alternative Feedback Methods**: If the issue persists, consider using alternative methods to provide feedback for incorrect responses, like additional text explanations or hyperlinks to resources.

    8. **User Reports**: Encourage your learners to report the issue if they encounter it. They might provide insights into when and how it occurs.

In the world of e-learning, it's vital to uncover the mystery behind inconsistent feedback. By following these steps, you should be well on your way to resolving the "X-Files" case of your Rise360 incorrect feedback. Happy e-learning!

  • Hi there, Lorraine! I checked in on your support case to be sure you got the help you needed. It looks like you were able to resolve it yourself by duplicating the course and inserting the question bank in the duplicate course. Thanks for letting us know how you solved it, and please let us know if you run into any further trouble with this!
