I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble saving an older .story file! I have a few questions to help narrow down the issue:

• Are you working from a local hard drive? We don't recommend working with files on a network drive. 
• Are you able to use "Save as" and save the file with a different name?
• Can you import the slides to a new file?
