Real time Translation of Transcript for Localization

We provide two eLearning products for software developers.

  • One contains Articulate Storyline courses that conclude with a quiz.
  • The other provides hands-on labs using a left-hand instruction pane and a right-side container for editing and running software.

We have had very good luck with localization requests for hands-on labs, by suggesting that learners install the Google translate chrome extension. For our Storyline courses, I hoped that we could see the same real time translation of text in the Transcript tab. But, this is not the case.

Is Articulate giving any consideration to allowing the narrator transcript (or whatever is entered in the the slide Notes) to work with a real time translator, like Google Translate?

Can anyone else who sees this as a useful feature, please comment below?

  • Hi, Peg.

Thank you for sharing the details of what you'd like to see in Storyline!

This sounds like a great idea for a feature request! You can submit one here, and if it makes it into our feature roadmap, we'll make sure to update you!
