Reporting Open-Ended Storyline Block Responses Embedded in Rise
You might be able to use either Code Blocks or an iframe, and use a service like https://formsubmit.co/ to create a simple form that submits the users response to an email address.
Thank you!
I ended up choosing Microsoft Forms, which I embedded into Storyline as a web object so I could style it to match the course design, and then added it as a Storyline block in Rise.
Microsoft Forms automatically saves all responses to an Excel file. Once I open this table once, the file is stored on OneDrive (it’s important not to make a copy, as it won’t update automatically). Then, using Power Automate, I set up three actions in a scheduled flow so that an email with this Excel file is sent once a month as a reminder.
This is the solution we decided to go with for now. We’re still testing it, but it’s been working best so far.
