This one is quite tricky because you need your question slides to do two things but you can only select one slide revisit behavior.
The best slide revisit behavior to use in this case would be "Reset to initial state" since a big part of your interaction relies on resetting the slide on succeeding attempts. To get around the questions resetting after answering the question correctly, you can simply add a layer that appears on a slide revisit to indicate that the answer has already been answered correctly. I've attached a sample project file demonstrating this solution.
