Resumed state not working properly

Hi there,

I'm stuck on my project in Articulate Storyline since the resumed state function is not working in a way I would expect it to work.

I use "Resume saved state" on most of my slides. Unfortunately, when I revisit a slide, all of the objects have returned to their original state. Strangely though, the audio does resume its saved state.

Additionaly, when I go forward before the audio is done and then backwards again, the objects dó resume their saved state.

I'm confused, can anyone help me?

Greetings, Rutger

  • Hi RutgerBalm,
Happy to test this for you!

Would you mind making a Peek 360 recording of the behavior so we can test your course as accurately as possible? I did test your course by navigating through the items and then using the icons in the upper right-hand corner to return to specific scenes/slides but the objects in the window in the middle of the slide resumed correctly for me. Here's a quick recording of my test so you can check if I am testing your slides correctly.

Could you please let us know which specific slide to test, and how exactly we should test it so we can review how everything in the slide interacts with each other?

      Hi RutgerBalm,

      Thanks for sharing that recording!

I attempted to replicate the behavior when previewing your file, but the course seems to resume as expected. Here's a quick Peek showing you what I'm seeing. Are you experiencing an issue with any other course?

Since I can't replicate this behavior, I wonder if the issue is within Storyline. Have you tried a Storyline repair? Please also check you're using the most up-to-date version of the app. Currently, we're on Build 3.93.33359.0.

If the issue persists, I'd like to connect you with one of our Support Engineers in a case. You can submit one here!

Thanks for your reply. I updated the software and that seems to have fixed it, thanks!!
