I've never had this issue before and it's a big bummer. I made edit's to a Rise module that took about a day, and I went back today to take a look at something and I saw that my changes weren't saved!
Does this happen sometimes?

I'm so sorry to hear you've run into this setback! I understand how frustrating that can be!
I have seen other users run into a similar issue by authoring too quickly or using the browser's back arrow, instead of navigating within Rise 360 itself. Just to confirm, were you using one of Rise 360's supported browsers when you ran into this hiccup?
