Rise issues with videos on LMS

Good afternoon. I have two Rise courses that are video intensive and are required viewing for several thousand learners. Each course has several lessons, and each lesson has several videos. A key design requirement of these courses is that the videos must be watched in full to complete a lesson; fast forward has been disabled. Both of the courses are exported to LMS, SCORM 2004, 4th edition and reside in a restici LMS. Nearly 20% of the people taking one of these classes run into issues where their progress is not recorded.  Would it be possible to ask you to look at one of these courses to see if you can identify any issues with their design that we can fix? Thanks for your attention, and I look forward to hearing from you as soon as possible.

  • Hi Mark, I'm sorry to hear you've run into issues where the progress of your learners is not getting recorded. We'd be more than happy to help you troubleshoot this. You can share your course using this form here, and one of our support engineers will work with you directly on this issue.

Team Im having a similar issue but now when I just removed one sentence from the course and exported the file in SCORM, the videos are now saying problems with the Server or format

  • Hi Cali! Are these videos uploaded to your Rise course or are they embedded from a video hosting site?

Also, does the same problem happen when testing in SCORM Cloud? This will help you determine if the issue lies within your LMS or the actual Rise output file. If you are able to replicate it, be sure to open a case so we can take a closer look!

Hello - Could you please share a link to the steps provided to Mark for this issue? I would like to compare them to the steps we use for troubleshooting.

      Hi K Fallows!

Here's the link with the steps on how to use SCORM Cloud with your Articulate content. If your SCORM file works without issues in SCORM Cloud, then you would need to coordinate with your LMS provider.
