Rise Quiz - Resume problem when randomize question order

Hello,

I'm having a very concerning problem with RISE quiz resume behavior.

If I have a quiz with all the questions in randomized order, when I stop in the middle of the quiz (say, after answering question 5, but before clicking next), when I resume, it will show me another question (still marker number 5), marked as answered with the correction (even when I didn't encounter that question yet).

What should I do ? Is there an option the reset the quiz completely if we quit and resume?

  • Hi ChiP! I'm glad you reached out because this is different from the behavior I see when testing this exact scenario. I see that the quiz resets after refreshing. Is it possible for you to share your course with us? It is easiest if you send a copy of the course to support@articulate.com

      Hello LaurenDuvall.

Thank you for your response. I have sent you a copy of my quiz. I tested it on SCORM Cloud and our LMS platform, and the behavior is as described. The quiz always resumes, but at the wrong question.

Additionally, I want to highlight another issue with the "Shuffle answers" option. If the answers are shuffled and the questions not randomized, upon resuming, it will display the correct question but potentially with the wrong answer due to the shuffling. For example, if the answers are ABCD and you chose A (the first answer), upon resuming, the answers might shuffle to CBAD, making it appear as if you selected C (the first answer).

      • Hello ChiP! Thank you for sharing your Rise 360 course! I tested your course in SCORM cloud as well. I had two different experiences when testing the course using the Launch button in SCORM cloud versus the invite link. What you've shared is what I notice when using the Launch button. However, I am not seeing the answer choices remembered when I use the invite link and relaunch the course.

Would you mind testing the course using the invite link instead? Here's a quick screen recording if you need help generating that!
