Show correct answer on review quiz for Hotspot question (Storyline 360)

How do I show the correct answer for a Hotspot question when reviewing the quiz? I only want the correct answer to appear when reviewing the quiz. I saw another answer which had the correct answer appear immediately during feedback but that is not what I want. They will also need to retake the question so the correct answer cannot show then.

Thank you

  • Storyline will automatically show a Review layer when review a quiz. You can add a layer with that exact name yourself. Or Storyline will add it if you enter any text in the Post-quiz review field when you're editing the question in Form View.

Note: When Storyline creates the Review layer, it automatically gives it the layout of the "Review" Feedback Master. But you can edit that, as needed. (https://community.articulate.com/series/articulate-storyline-360/articles/articulate-storyline-360-user-guide-how-to-use-feedback-masters  )

Put whatever info you want on the Review layer to indicate the correct answer to the hotspot question.

THANKS for your quick reply - I needed it right away. This is such a simple thing to do and I love the ease and effectiveness of it. However, I would like to respectfully suggest placing this easy and probably frequently needed feature more prominently in the Storyline instructions. I took some time searching the site for this answer too, but couldn't find it. Highlighting this somewhere might help the next person.

I'd hit the "more" button in the review area but it only brought up a dialog box. There was nothing to suggest that naming a layer "review" would cause that to be automatically displayed in the review quiz process. But there is always the possibility I just missed it and the feedback master section is a bit intimidating.

Thanks again for your quick reply - its one of the best things about Articulate.

Thanks again - I meant that the heroes - others willing to help out are the best thing about articulate!

I was hoping someone on staff was monitoring these and would see it but I will add that feature request.
