Slow down audio on text to speech

I see two years ago there was going to be an update to help with the issue of the text to speech being too fast. Has this upgrade been done yet? I need my students to be able to understand the videos.

  • Hi, everyone!

I have some great news to share. We just released another update for Storyline 360. In Update 83, we’ve included important fixes and new features!

    One enhanced feature we’ve included:

Unlock new possibilities for text-to-speech audio. Use speech synthesis markup language (SSML) to adjust the speaking rate, modify pronunciation, emphasize words, add pauses, and more.

To take advantage of this update, launch the Articulate 360 desktop app on your computer, and click the Update button next to Storyline 360. You'll find our step-by-step instructions here!

  • Would like to add my voice/vote to this feature. The text-to-speech is a very helpful tool, but I cannot use it because it is much too fast to be used without spending time manually adding silences.

  • too fast, my vote as well! great add, but too fast - need to be able to have a rate feature! thank you!

I have updated Storyline360, but still not sure how to slow down the text to voice in Storyline. Is there a guide somewhere?

Hi LucynaDra - Speed of audio (aka speed rate) is now available in Text-to-Speech, and it works great. See KellyAuner's (staff person) replay above in this discussion for detailed information.
