SOLVED: Help please. Click and hide
I am new to SL, having spent 20 years with Captivate. My employer uses Articulate.
All I want to do is have an interaction (trigger) where a layer (c0ver) is hidden so that the text underneath is revealed upon click. I played with stacking order. I am stumped.
Many thanks (new family)

Have a look at the attached and see if that's what you wanted. There is nothing wrong with using layers, although here it may have been easier to put the text and the "cover" object on the baselayer and simply change their state to Hidden. Or, you could have added the text to the baselayer with an initial state of Hidden and then show them based on clicking objects. In any case with your setup, you do need to show the layers first and then hide them as objects are clicked.

Thanks Michael. I appreciate your weighing in
I ended up having the base layer right column blank and had my “cover” a “reveal” instead with progressive additions.
Can SL force a specific order?

Yes, you can enforce an order by only having the first object enabled to begin with. Then when that object is clicked, you use a trigger to change the state of the next one to Normal and so on.
