"state" trigger not working with "change state" action

I'm trying to prompt the user to click the player's "next" button with a little arrow, but only when they've completed all interactions on the slides.

The slide has 4 short videos that you click to play.

When each video completes, a translucent check mark (L shape) changes from hidden to normal over it. That is functioning normally.

My "click next" prompt is visible for the whole timeline, and is set to "play until end", but is hidden.

I have set up this trigger

...which looks like it should make the "click next" object change to "normal" when the 4 checks are "normal", but when I preview it, it doesn't.

any idea what's up?

edit: it looks like the state "when" part is working with the action "resume timeline", but not "change state of"

  • Hi Andrew, can you attach the Storyline slide? An interaction like this should work.

  • Sharing a slide would help.

It is difficult to say, how do you show the videos are they on layers or do you leave the slide and come back?

The videos are all visible from the start, but set to play when triggered by hotspots

I've mocked up this scenario, with hotspots triggering the videos, and changing the state of the "Done" objects to visible after each video completes, changing the state of the "Click Next" object when the states of the Done objects are visible, and it works.

Best bet would be if you could upload the screen so we can take a look.
