Change State trigger not working with "when timeline reaches..."
Hello, all. I am trying to create a slide that changes the state of objects to a highlighted state when the timeline reaches a certain point, and then back to the original state when the timeline reaches a later point. To do this, I created two triggers, as shown in the image.
All I did to create the highlighted state was duplicate the original state for each object, title it "highlighted," and add a glow to the highlighted state.
Unfortunately, when I created these two triggers and played the slide, nothing happened. Does anyone know what I could be doing wrong?
I have some workarounds in the meantime, but I would like to know why this is not working. Thanks!
Hello, Steven!
Yes, Gian has been helpful. Thank you! We found that by adding the condition "if the state of object x is highlighted/normal" to the trigger makes it work.

I was unable to replicate the same behavior. I’ve attached a simple slide with three rectangles, each animated to change states to Highlight and then back to Normal when the timeline reaches certain points. What type of entrance animation have you applied to the object? Would you mind sharing your slide to help troubleshoot the issue? Or compare mine with yours to see if anything is different. I use the latest version of Storyline 360.

Hey, Nedim!
Thank you for the help. I have fade in animations on all the objects. When I remove the fade in, the highlight triggers work just fine. However, when I have the fade in animations, they do not work. I wonder why this is. Perhaps it is a software bug?
Hi JenniferJack!
Great to see that Nedim has been helping you!
I noticed you've also connected with my teammate Gian, through a support case. I'm happy to hear that modifying your Storyline Trigger helped fix the issue!
Have a great rest of your week!
