States not working on just 1 slide
I am working on a course and for some reason, the states of 2 text boxes on one particular slide will not work. The corresponding states for the chevrons on the same slide (which are grouped with one offending text box each) do work. The similar states for other text boxes throughout my project also work normally - it's just these 2 text boxes on this one slide.
The text is to be bold when hovering, selected, and visited. This appears to function while working on the slide, but when in Preview mode the text will not go bold in any state.
I've confirmed there is no invisible object in front of these 2 text boxes, and the triggers to show another layer when each text box/group is clicked still work. I've ungrouped and regrouped, removed all states and made new ones, etc. I am at a loss as to why these 2 text boxes will not show as bold!
The slide is attached - please help!!

THANK YOU.
There is something about those text boxes that the States just don't like. When I pasted your working version of the slide into my course it worked properly, but it changed all the dimensions and font sizes. So I tried the Format Painter instead to make my glitchy text boxes match your working ones - they still didn't work! I had to completely delete my text boxes, replace them with yours where the States worked, and then resize the font & boxes to make everything match again. They are now working properly so hopefully I don't run into that mystery issue again.

Same issue; Triggers not working with text box states. I thought it was because it had a fade animation/paragraph on it but I removed it and it appears as 1 text box. Triggers to change the states (even hidden) not working. I've tried the trigger with cue point and time (seconds) still won't change the state. Worked in a pre-versional of STL but not in it's current and newest version. Probably a bug. I will try and redo the text box from scratch again thanks for the suggestion.
Hello Paul,
Sorry to hear that you ran into a similar issue.
We'll be glad to take a look at your project file to see why your states aren't working properly. Would you be willing to share a copy of your project file here or in private by opening a support case for testing? We'll delete it when we're done!

Figured it out; as I suspected it was because I cut and pasted (Ctrl+Shft+v) text from PowerPoint into the text box.
MS adds all kinds of text programming even in cut and paste into Storyline which is why I never import anything from PPT. I manually typed in the text and states worked.
