Storyline 360 March Update No Bueno

Has anyone else experienced issues requiring a force quit on Storyline 360 since the last update? This morning I dragged a video into the timeline and was met with this lovely roadblock:

None of the buttons react when clicked - time to force quit. Also, the eye dropper tool has stopped working. This is all I have found "so far". Is it too much to ask the developers to fully vet any updates prior to release?

Sorry to hear that you've run into these setbacks while authoring in Storyline!

Are you encountering any error messages when Storyline locks up? If so, seeing a screenshot of what the error says would be helpful. Also, when you say "dragging a video into the Timeline", are you referring to dragging a file from outside of Storyline, directly onto the Slide itself?

I'm unable to replicate any of the behavior you've outlined, so it's possible these issues are local to your setup. Can you confirm that you're working with locally-stored .story files? Authoring directly off of a network drive can introduce latency and unexpected behavior such as this. If you're already working locally, please try a repair of your Storyline installation.

Let me know how it goes!

The issue appears to be related to dragging and dropping. Using the Insert function allows you to choose to "Generate Captions" or not.
