Hello Michael,
Thanks for sharing your project files. I can confirm that the behavior you are experiencing is expected. The search bar allows learners to search for text in your entire course and not just for the slides that are visible in the menu. Unfortunately, there isn't a way to modify this behavior right now so I'll let members of the community chime in in case they have alternative solutions that they'd be willing to share!
