Storyline Block in Rise when viewed on Phone

Hi all,

This is a repeat of a long-asked question, but I'm not seeing that there's ever been a definitive solution. Is there now a way to successfully view a Storyline block on a cell/mobile phone when used within Rise? I've scoured the previous solutions, and they don't seem to work. I've added a continue block above the SL block, and I've turned off the SL player before publishing to Review – nothing happens to rectify the issue.

Is there a solution?

  • Hi Liz_Tyler!

Glad to see Phil has been helping you. Happy to jump in here!

What you're describing is the expected behavior for Storyline Blocks, with videos, that have been added to a Rise 360 course. Currently, they do not play back when previewing the course within Rise 360. However, we are tracking a feature request to introduce this functionality. I've included your voice in the feature report!

Once you publish the Rise course, the Storyline Block should play as expected when a learner clicks the play button.

Please let me know if you need anything else!

But it doesn't unfortunately. It appears, but you can click on it all day and it's non-responsive. Is that just because I'm using the facility to check my course on different devices in Articulate? If so, will it be a case of only being able to see if it's ok in phone view once it's published?
