Storyline course completion issue with Cornerstone in Demand
I'm having the same problem. There's got to be a better way for these courses to notify Cornerstone they are completed.
Hi JoleneDonahue-9!
Sorry to hear you're also struggling with course completion being marked by Cornerstone LMS!
Using SCORM Cloud as a benchmark is a great way to determine if the correct publishing settings have been chosen. However, if you find the course is also not reporting learner completion in SCORM Cloud, please share you file here or privately through a support case.
We'd be happy to take a closer look to see what could be getting in the way!

Thank you. I worked with support and these are my findings for my courses. For those following... in CSOD, make sure you do not choose to have this course launch in a new window (setting is found in the player) and also that you adjust the appropriate slide settings to resume where paused rather then automatically decide. These setting worked just fine in NeoGov, but do not work well in Cornerstone.

Hello JoleneDonahue-9,
I am so glad that my colleague Mcgem was able to assist you in your case. I appreciate you sharing details from your case in this thread. This will be helpful for folks who come across this thread in the future.
Have a wonderful weekend!

JoleneDonahue-9 Thank you for sharing - we currently have the settings you mentioned above in place - but Cornerstone would automatically launch the course in a new window. Did you not have any more issues when you used theses settings for your courses?

Yes, there's a few other steps I'm taking that seem to help. I've attached a rough sample. There's three things on this slide. 1) I use a trigger that completes the course once the timeline starts. 2) I have them click a button that I create to exit the course and then 3) make sure when I publish, I am changing the LMS reporting to Completed / incomplete. Attaching a screen shot below. Overall, it seems the most important thing is to get the learner to find that Exit Course button whether they are just pausing the course or completing it entirely. Hope this helps!
